-Ksubi: The Coolest Brand Must Get to Know!!-

Hey peeps, this week I'm going to show you the coolest brand I found recently-Ksubi. Ksubi was created in 2000 by the surfers: Dan Single, George Gorrow, Gareth Moddy, Oscar Wright and Paul Wilson, who spent most of their time on surfing and playing in the brand. They were unsatisfied with the range of jeans on the market, and also couldn't find  jeans that were fit well. Thus, they started manufacturing their own jeans and denim.

The inspiration of Ksubi  are integrating of fashion, music, art, and surfing elements in the underground culture and lifestyle. The combination of these elements and original brand spirit makes Ksubi become famous all over the world.

Ksubi has been always surprised to their audience on the runway show every year. In 2001, they unleashed 200 rats onto the catwalk, and is now known for its rebellious characteristic. Also, the events such as warehouse installations, late-night booty party, and boat fashion shows (where they pushed all of the models into the water) were grabbing attentions from worldwide by its controversial and antics practice.

Brazil - Brazilian Fashion Designers

When it comes to Brazil, carnivals also come in mind!

I happen to love Brazilian culture a lot because of the people and of course soccer! Brazilians are very passionate and hearty. And I love how they have carnivals to celebrate and party all the time.

People may not be familiar with Brazilian fashion. Speaking of Brazilian fashion, everybody would think of bikinis and all those sexy wears. However, Brazilian fashion is somewhat very influential since Brazil is one of the biggest growing economies in the world. Brazil has a huge market for both domestic and international brands.

I am going to introduce Spring/Summer 2012 collections from two internationally famous Brazilian designers/brands, Alexandre Herchovitch and Basso & Brooke, to you today. The designs of these designers are highly influenced by Brazilian heritage.

Alexandre Herchovitch

In this collection, Alexandre Herchovitch was inspired by vintage fabrics. He discovered a trove of fifties-era fabrics at a shop in Brazil.

Basso & Brooke

They are known for the print and graphic designs. In this collection, many floral and nature prints with abstract and constructive motifs are seen on the garments. The colorfulness and eye-catching looks remind people of the carnivals in Brazil.

Pakistan

Hello everyone! This week, I’ll be talking about an Eastern country: Pakistan! This country has a thriving fashion industry. One of the many well-known designers is Umar Sayeed. He has been in this industry for about twenty years. Sayeed is very versatile with his designs. He often experiments with different styles, fabrics, and embroidery to create unique looks. However, he always gives attention to details with his intricate patterns and bold embroidery styles. Because of his exclusive fashionable designs, he has become very popular not only in Pakistan, but among Pakistanis in the rest of the world as well. I’d like to share some pictures from his latest collection:

Another great Pakistani designer is Maria B. She began her company, Maria B. Designs, in 1999. In a very short period of time, Maria has emerged as one of Pakistan’s top designers. She also has a huge amount of clients outside Pakistan. Maria is extremely talented, which shows through her delicate and elegant designing. Here are some pictures to prove it!

I hope you enjoyed this week's post, and I hope you gained new insight regarding Pakistan's fashion!
