Shiatzy Chen in Paris Fashion Week SS 2012

Hi peeps! This week I am going to show a different perspective of fashion - The East.
Shiatzy Chen is one of the brands that skillfully combines both ancient Chinese culture and modern aesthetics along with western craftsmanship into contemporary pieces. Wang Chen Tsai-Hsia, the creative director and brand innovator, has always been greatly inspired by both Chinese and western fashion. Because of her inspirations and through her talent, Wang Chen Tsai-Hsia integrated the classic, traditional Chinese embroidery into Shiatzy Chen collection, creating a great blend of the east and the west.

Here are the clips to get to know SHIATZY CHEN!

Shiazty Chen's Spring/Summer 2012 collection, "Snuff Bottle", was integrated
with iconic western fashion from the 60's and traditional Chinese snuff bottle culture to create a unique and timeless image of this season.

The following are the pictures showing more details of the elaborate designs for this season:

London, England

England – London Fashion Week FW 2012

Hello! All you fashionistas! This week I am going to have a touch on the current trend in London, England. Starting last weekend, London has its Fashion Week for autumn/winter 2012 begin. It is one of the “Big Four” fashion weeks along with New York, Milan, and Paris Fashion Week. The home to British fashion is London. London has gotten its unique fashion style sitting in the Northern Europe. Besides London’s famous design style, original/classic design, British are not afraid of playing with extraordinary looks. This fall/winter, I see many exaggerated designs. They may be too flamboyant but it is worth it to try!

I also see many natural elements and prints used on garments. The most popular print is floral print. From McQ, Burberry, Christopher Kane, and many more designers have added such design element and inspiration in their collections. Floral prints have been seen in spring/summer 2012. In fall/winter 2012, abstract floral prints are seen more on garments to present the elegance and flow of flower. In addition, brilliant colors such as bright blue/red, hot pink, and mustard yellow are used to set off these floral prints. At the fashion show, many celebrities also dress up in the garments with floral prints! Floral print is definitely the trend of this year.

Following are several pictures to show you these amazing designs of great pieces!

Spain

I have always been inspired by Spain and its mesmerizing architecture, culture, people, and the beautiful scenic views. And, of course, their fashion is amazing!

Palacio de Cristal. Madrid, Spain.
Toledo, Spain.

Custo Barcelona is a well-known Spanish designer. Custo and his brother, David, design unique, trendy clothing that quickly attract people’s attention around the world. Here are some of the pieces I liked from their Spring/Summer 2012 Collection from New York Fashion Week:

Juan Vidal is another Spanish designer with great talent. He started designing at the age of just 15 years, and has grown significantly as a designer. He has presented his collections in various fashion shows. He’s known specifically for his brilliant sense of detail through his appliqués and embroidery. I looked through his Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, and loved it right away! Each and every piece is so beautifully created with such intricacy of details. It was very hard to choose only a few pictures to share with you, so I decided to show TEN of my favorites!

I hope you enjoyed this post and got an idea of the current Spring/Summer trends Spain has to offer! Feel free to post any comments you may have!
